Body scrubs can be used very gently the next day if there are no signs of blisters (the latter should be very rare). If they are used too prematurely and abrade loose skin, then there might be an increased risk of postinflammatory hyperpigmentation or erosions could even be created.
It is safe to use a body scrub as soon as the redness has subsided. Usually, this is seen within 2 to 24 hours of the treatment.
Body scrubs can be safely used 72hrs post treatment. This will allow for any irritation to subside and reduce the risk of any adverse reactions. We recommend our patients to exfoliate 7-10 days post treatment.
In our office we recommend waiting a minimum of seventy two hours after your laser hair removal treatment before using a body scrub.
