Which is better? Laser hair removal with the Soprano ICE or the Candela?

I have olive skin, I tan easily and rarely burn. Dark hair. I have had consultations at two places; one uses Candela and wants to charge me $6,000 for Brazilian bikini, lower leg and upper lip. 6 treatments and 3 touch ups. The other place, is a fraction of the cost, gives the same amount of treatments but uses the Soprano Ice. I have heard it is less permanent, but I know that all laser hair removal isn't really permanent. If I am spending 6k I want to know it's because I am getting a superior product.

Hello. Thanks for your question. Having had both of these machines in my clinic there is no difference in the clinical outcome. I wouldn’t base your decision on which machine but rather which clinic. This is because the way that the laser therapist uses the machine makes the biggest impact on your results. remember laser hair removal is inappropriately named it is actually permanent hair reduction. The hair can come back due to many variables.

Both of these devices are effective. However, you results will depend on the settings used and the experience of your technician.

Thanks for your question.  The best way to answer is go with experience.  You can the same laser model in neighboring facilities and get completely different outcomes.  So much of your LHR treatment depends on settings, technique, experience of clinician and maintenance of the laser.  I would suggest looking for a doctor's office that has an aesthetic practice.  If there is a doctor present, chances are their laser is well maintained and the clinicians are adequately supervised.We utilize a Vectus diode laser that is safe for all skin types.  On average we need to treat patients an average of 6-8 times for 95% permanent hair reduction.  For the areas you requested, our treatment package of 6 would be around $2000.  Best of luck
