I had a root canal done at the end of October, in the beginning of November I had to get another small root taken out..i had a temp crown put on right before thanksgiving and then got my crown put on December 16th. At first when o got the crown put on it instantly felt better..i felt some pain when i had the temp crown on..but now the crown is on, it hurts to floss, it sometimes hurts to chew. the only way to describe the pain is like a cut or needle..i will call the dentist. What should I do

Hi:This could be a coincidence or the bite has to be adjusted. Please go back to your dentist to check the bite on the new crown and check for clenching and grinding pressure on your back teeth as well.Best,Dr. Maddahi
Hello!
Well, if its just the crown that is broken, but the root still has a good structure left, its possible that you can get a root canal and a post so a new crown can be placed, of course to verify if this is possible xrays need to be taken by your dentist.
Hope this helps, good luck
