Blue Veins on my Lip After Juvederm Injections

I have blue veins on my lip after juverderm injections almost 3 weeks ago I took arnica so there was really no bruising at all. But now I see these blue veins on my upper lip only, from what I can tell. The thing is it sometimes aches a little I feel like I can feel the vein and that it’s triggering something in my gums to ache. Did the doctor do something wrong? I AM EXTREMELY WORRIED plase respond back.

Although infections are possible any time there is an injection of any kind, it is extremely rare with aseptic technique and is hardly ever noted with the hyaluronic acids such as Juvederm and Restylane.  The do eventually dissolve.

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid and acts as a filler by absorbing water in your tissues. It may absorb more water than Restylane in the lower eyelid area. Being swollen from having more water held in the area doesn't mean that there is a problem with lymphatic drainage.

The Tyndall effect involves the way light reflects off surfaces and can create a bluish coloration when the Juvederm or Restylane is injected close near the surface. I have seen this near the corners of the lips. It can be expressed by the doctor, or dissolved with hyaluronidase.

Be careful rushing in to having fillers with your recent diagnosis of allergic rhinitis, not because of allergy of the Juvederm, but lower eyelid swelling from the allergies can be accentuated with the filler as it absorbs water.  Allergic rhinitis and or conjunctivitis can cause dark...

Your acne is probably not from the Juvederm, especially since it is 6 weeks after the injection.  Go back to see your dermatologist to get prescribed an acne medication which should help clear your chin up.
