I take extremely good care of my skin, but my neck sure says otherwise. While my face is basically wrinkle-free, my neck is a mess. I tried an ablative laser two years ago, but it was basically worthless. I've also tried Belotero injections. Nothing has helped. What would you recommend?
Answer: Morpheus 8 combined with hyperdilute Radiesse The skin on the neck is very thin and therefore different from the skin on the rest of the body. Often times you need to utilize products specific to the neck to truly retain good texture in that area, but that is not to say that nothing else can be done to help if you need to play a little catch up. The best combination treatment I recommend for my patients hoping to achieve the same results you are looking for is a Morpheus 8 treatment followed by hyperdilute Radiesse. Morpheus 8 is a radiofrequency microneedling treatment meant to provide fractional remodeling while stimulating collagen production. Morpheus 8 helps to tighten the crepey skin in the area being treated as well which makes it ideal for the results you are trying to achieve. Hyperdilute Radiesse is just as it sounds, it is a diluted filler which at our office we dilute with saline and PRF, (platelet rich fibrin.) By combining the Radiesse with PRF we are reaping the benefits of a filler which is meant to fill the necklace lines and make them appear less visible, as well as the benefits of PRF which helps stimulate collagen production in our skin. The combination of RF microneedling and hyperdilute Radiesse is the perfect pair of treatments to help tighten and strengthen the skin in your neck. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified plastic surgeons to discuss your ideal aesthetic goals. This way, they can better assess your face and create an ideal treatment plan for you. Best of luck! Kian Karimi MD, FACS

Answer: Botox, Fillers, Skin Boosters & Profhilo Can Work Well For Nonsurgical Neck Rejuvenation Botox injected along the jawline and along the vertical neck bands can help reduced the bands that are evident below the chin in the photo. Microdroplets of Botox placed at intervals alongside the horizontal necklace lines coupled with small amounts of Belotero Balance threaded directly under the bands can help to significantly reduce these bands. For overall improvement in the quality of the entire neck, small boluses of a bioremodeling agent, such as Profhilo coupled with injectable hyaluronic acid-based skin boosters, such as Restylane Silk, and Viscoderm Hydroboosters, injected in a threadlike fashion, can help to hydrate and tighten the skin and improve superficial texture . You would be wise to consult with an experienced board certified aesthetic physician and avoid wasting more time and money on any of the so-called "next big thing" light and energy-based devices that will no doubt be marketed to you. Best of luck.
