Hello,Your donor area looks good. But in order to tell you if it was over harvested you need to tell the graft number.
At three months it is too early to say. While the donor area maybe over-harvested, there is also the possibility that some of the donor hair has gone into the dormant cycle, so by the 6-8 month mark the donor area may look substantially better than it does now. My suggestion is the wear your hair a little longer, and re-evaluate in several months.
The biggest questions that I have - how may grafts we're extracted and what was your donor site hair density prior to the procedure. If the number of grafts extracted was greater than 3000 and your original donor density was low, then there is a higher possibility for over-extraction. It takes around 6 months to get full contraction of FUE donor scars, so I am hopeful that the density will pull in some more. After six months, if there is a look of continued thinness in the donor area, then consider Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) or letting your hair grow out.
Hi, great question. I understand your concern about wether or not you have been over harvested. It’s tough to say being that your hair is so short. You might want to try and grow your your out for a while and see how it goes. If you don’t see results I suggest you make an appointment with your doctor.
I would venture to say you will be fine Your hair is very short so the harvesting shows through. When you grow your hair out it will be fine. That being said if you are over-harvested your best treatment is scalp micropigmentation.
It certainly looks like you are at your limit for having more FUE grafts. FUE, by its nature, thins out the donor area especially when the number of grafts run higher than 3500 grafts in a person with normal Caucasian hair densities.
