I appreciate your concern and while physical exam is optimal, your photos demonstrate that you would most likely benefit from lip reduction surgery. The procedure is done in the office, under local anesthesia, and it takes about one hour. Recovery is usually one week, as postop, the lips are quite swollen. Check out the link below to an article I wrote about the procedure. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon with lots of experience with lip surgery, good luck!
Hello and thank you for the question. In simply glancing at your photos, the only way I see to reduce them is though a surgical procedure. This can be done in office or with light anesthesia. It typically takes 1-1.5 hours and is done with your input. I have patients pucker until they are satisfied with the amount of reduction. We then carefully mark and place the incision at the junction between the wet/dry lip. The lips are very swollen after such surgery and take about a week to reduce in size. Icing as well as oral antibruising/swelling medications often help. Lip stretching exercises are often employed post op. We advocate soft foods and nothing hot for 3-5 days. Good luck in your search!
