My crown is still rough after dentist smoothening it, it kind of irritates my tongue. What should I do?

My crown was smoothened by dentist but it still feels rough to my tongue also I think my two crowns are slightly bigger than they should be. Should crown be 100% same as the teeh before ?It has no rough edges but the crown feels little rough on its sides after dentist polished it . What shoul I do ?

Sometimes people say it's rough when they mean it's "bumpy". it may be anatomy of the tooth your feeling. If it's truly rough go back to the dentist and have him re-polish. Porcelain polishers should make the surface smooth as glass.

I would go back and see your dentist again so that it can be smoothed or polished more. Try to check it out with your tongue as best you can when you there so you can let the dentist know if it doesn't feel smooth enough. A crown will not be exactly the same as the original tooth so it may feel a little bigger or even smaller sometimes. It is also possible that your tooth was not reduced enough to allow for the thickness of the crown.
