Redness on face caused by hydroquinone?

My doctor prescribed me a hydroquinone 4% cream , and suggested me to use it with cold cream , as I use it my face skin goes red and more red . How this redness with shade away. Please answer me

Hi thanks for your query,the initial redness may be due to the irritating effect of hydroquinone ,or be sure to confirm any retinoids also prescribed along with it ,if yes talk to your doctor and get it confirmed to minimise interactions .Good luck
