3 Days After CO2 Laser Resurfacing & Worried (Urgent Help) (Photo)

Question

Please, may I ask for some help, I am panicking, and really could do with some peace of mind. It is the third day since I had my C02 Laser Resurfacing (Factional I think), and I just feel I am not heeling as well as I should be. Looking at day 2 & 3 I also have laser lines at the bottom of my cheek which I am worried they will not go. Looking at other patients progress online, they are almost fully healed by day 3-4, I still look "open" and too red. Do I seem to be healing ok? I am worried..

I suggest speaking to your cosmetic physician, this look like normal healing.  It is likely you will be 10-14 days to heal, I suggest more than aquaphor at this time.  Please see an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Everyone heals at a different rate and the amount of redness may also vary based upon your baseline amount of redness as well.I am sure everything will come out ok based upon the pictures, but I would call your treating physician and discuss with them options to help resolve the redness quicker and making sure that wound care is going as they would expect.
