The simple answer here is that robust HA volumizing fillers have been used for years for nonsurgical chin augmentations. The other great news is that in experienced hands, treatment takes about five minutes and the results are immediate and treatment engender little to no significant downtime. It's a procedure that I routinely perform several times a week. Hope this helps.
Hi! This is a great question. We have many clients who have asked the same question. Many of our clients who need chin implants elect to have filler done first so they can have an idea of how their chin looks with added projection. Filler is a great way to add projection to the chin and help improve the lower face without surgery.
Hi LVok,Filler is often used to add projection to the chin. It also improves the jawline definition as well as improving the neck when done properly. There are a few fillers that work well depending on the individual patient needs. I use Voluma, Volux, and Radiesse. A foundational treatment with Voluma is best for beautiful, natural chin projection. Feel free to contact my office for an in person or virtual consultation regarding your concerns. As with all aesthetic procedures, it is not a commodity and it is essential to make sure that you choose your treating physician most carefully. Good luck and be well.Michael Persky, MDEncino, CA
It would have been very helpful to see photos of your chin and your profile. Surgical Chin implant and chin filler are different and work differently and cannot be compared. It is definitely nice to have an option of 'try before you buy" with dermal fillers before going permanent route with surgical implant. The FDA approved dermal fillers for chin area are: Restylane Defyne, Juvederm Voluma, and biostimulator Radiesse. Which one to be used is up to your doctor and each one of these options can be discussed with you. I would stick to HA dermal fillers like either Restylane Defyne or Juvederm Voluma. Good luck.Dr. Anna Avaliani, NYC
If you are desiring a modest amount of chin projection, fillers are a good alternative to chin implant surgery for some people. The type of filler is largely dependent upon which doctor you visit. In our practice, we utilize microdroplet Silikon-1000 which is a permanent soft tissue filler. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Yes, dermal fillers can be used to add projection to the chin as an alternative to chin implants. Juvederm Volux and Juvederm Voluma are both excellent choices for chin enhancement. Juvederm Volux is specifically designed for creating definition and structure in areas like the chin and jawline, offering a firmer and more sculpted result. Juvederm Voluma is also a great option, providing volume and subtle lift for a more balanced profile. Both are hyaluronic acid-based fillers that provide immediate results and last up to a year or longer. For the best and safest results, it’s important to consult with a board-certified provider who specializes in facial aesthetics. They can assess your facial structure and recommend the right filler and technique to achieve your desired chin projection while maintaining a natural look.
Hi @Fearless394286, It appears that this is due to a combination of skin laxity from your weight loss and dimpling from the chin muscle. You would likely benefit from surgery and possibly some botox to the mentalis muscle. I would recommend a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon for an...
Any injectable filler has the propensity to cause nodules and bumps in the lips. This is usually from an excess of scar tissue that may form around filler. If you bring this to the attention of your physician, it should be easy to improve upon. Alternatively, please consider re-asking your...
Thank you for the question. If the filler is injected deep and in the right location, it will not remove the dimple that you like
