You are an excellent candidate for breast augmentation with a variety of techniques. The only thing I would warn you about is not to go too large because that could create sagging over the long term.
Thank you for your question and for sharing appropriate pictures. You seem to be a good candidate for a breast augmentation. You do not show signs of drooping, and if you choose an implant that is anatomically appropriate for your anatomy, you should not run into problems for many years. Obviously age or pregnancies affect breasts, but implants won't have a huge effect on that. Make sure you're working with a board certified plastic surgeon. Breast of luck!
Hello,Thank you for your question. Unless you select very large implants, excessive drooping shouldn't be much of a concern. Everyone's tissue is different and I recommend consistent, supportive bra wear for all my BA patients. All the best
Hello,Based on your current breast mound shape and nipple position, you are unlikely going to have much ptosis other than mild glandular ptosis; your nipple is likely going to remain in good position. Of course, pregnancy may affect overall breast shape with or without implants, leading to eventual need for a breast lift. The only factor that can increase you need for a breast lift with regards to breast augmentation is implant size. Although other factors may not affect ptosis, your decision about what type and shape of implant, the incision, and the placement of the implant will affect other things. Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons. Best of luck!
Breasts that are heavy tend to droop over time due to the effects of gravity and due to stretching that occurs when they enlarge with pregnancy. with age, skin can lose elasticity and make drooping more severe. supporting your breasts with a well fitted bra may help to maintain your results longer.
Jenna,Every breast is at risk for drooping but that doesn't mean you need to get implants. Get implants if you are looking for more volume in your breasts. Adding implants, if done improperly, may make you more at risk for drooping. My recommendation is to meet with a plastic surgeon in consultation to go over your options and perform a good exam.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MSCertified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Thanks for the question,In my practice for cases like yours I prefer use the Cohesive Gel - Silicone Breast Implants with textured cover ("gummy bear implants") They are quite safe and aesthetically best as they give a firmer consistency, better projection and natural appearance.Kind regards
Hello and thank you for your question. You are a great candidatefor a breast augmentation. The size, profile, and shape of theimplant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wallmeasurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision shouldbe based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both youand your surgeon. This entire surgerycan be performed with a small incision technique. Make sure youspecifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who havehad this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find asurgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with aqualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Thank you for your question. Although gravity is definitely not our friend and will make everything sag eventually, you are smaller chance to have your breasts droop because of the quality of your skin at the current time. There are a few factors that lead to sagging breasts. Probably the most important factor is your skin quality and how it ages. However, it is also important to remember that the larger you go the faster they fall. Another factor that comes into play and frequently causes breasts to sag is pregnancy and changes in weight. I hope that helps and from your pictures, you are an excellent candidate as long as you don't go big and keep it very natural. Best of luck.
Jenna. First off, you have very pretty breasts and from your photos, there are no signs of ptosis. Incision location does not affect ptosis, and higher profile implants are sometimes used to improve ptosis, when present. In your case, moderate or moderate plus implants appear to be all you need, as you do not have ptosis. Check out the link below to an article I wrote about breast augmentation, as it may be helpful. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
You should notify your plastic surgeon right away. They are the ones that should make the decision as to whether you should proceed with surgery.
It’s difficult to say for sure based on your photo, but you appear to have mild sagging. Implants may help lift your breasts, but they’ll also make you larger. If you don’t want to go larger, then stick with the lift alone. But you should know that a lift alone may not give you similar resul...
Ultrasound and massage as nonsurgical treatments for mild cases of capsular contracture may be worth pursuing, as long as you understand that there is little research to support the effectiveness of either technique. The idea behind both treatments is that they break up the scar tissue that...
