What is the best treatment for sun spots and unwanted freckles? (Photos)

Question

I am a 23 year old caucasian female who tanned frequently when I was younger. Over the last couple of years I've noticed sun spots and more freckles appearing on my skin. My skin is smooth, I don't have wrinkles, but I want the best solution to get rid of these brown spots. I'm willing to do anything it takes, but I want the best results without paying for something I don't need.

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

A combination approach will give the most improvement with freckles. I recommend lasers (IPL or BBL combined with Fraxel/Halo/Moxi), microneedling with PRP, Cosmelan and TCA peels. The BBL from Sciton is, in my opinion, the best treatment for "spots" that there is. It's a form of Intense Pulsed Light but delivers the light energy in a much more effective manner which gets results with fewer treatments, saving a ton of money. Getting at least two of these treatments a year has also been shown to slow the appearance of aging. See someone with a lot of experience, it matters.

Remember that you need a complete physical exam with a specialized esthetic doctor in your area. You can have excellent results with CO2 Laser treatment.
