I´m currently on Accutane. Just finished my second month on 40mg and I´m starting month 3 on 60mg. Early on, I experienced getting many tiny, small bumps on my forehead and I dont know why... See my pictures. What are they and will they ever go away? I´ve never had this before and sometimes it´s itchy and red. Kind of looks like small blackheads, but they never disappear.. Also, I just get them in the centre/middle, not the whole forehead.

Accutane dosage to start is usually 0.5 to 1 mg / 1kg a day. In your case that would be 20 mg a day to start. As you may know Accutane therapy needs to be monitored monthly and based on the assessments made by your dermatologist the dose can be increased to up to 2mg / 1kg...
Accutane breakouts are very common during first 6 weeks of treatment therapy. Dryness also happens throughout treatment. A gentle cleanser moisturizer and sunscreen is recommended daily.
As per guidelines released last year, for major surgery such as this, we still do recommend a washout period. Minor laser procedures such as fractional lasers and microneedling, or in your situation Botox are all OK on accutane. Dr Davin Lim.
