I would have the surgeon review your history with their anesthesiologist to find out more details and formulate a reasonable plan. An anesthesiologist will know more about MH and can advise if it is safe under either general or local anesthesia

Your safety is always the number one priority in surgery. It is best to discuss this as well as your full medical history with a board certified plastic surgeon, who will then likely want to collaborate with an anesthesiologist.

Usually it is much safer to do under local anesthesia since no paralyzing agent will be used. However, I would still have the procedure done in a certified outpatient facility or hospital and with an anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist just in case. Don't do this in an office location.

You should consult with a board certified surgeon first. Then he or she would really need to have a discussion with their anesthesologist. The anesthesologist would be far more knowledgeable about this than anyone.
