I am not too concerned about the incision opening itself, it's not infected, no more drainage, no odor, etc. however I remember reading that if there is a visible stitch it could delay healing and cause complications. I canceled my appt with my surgeon because I think it looks fine and it's already healing, but is the visible stitch concerning?

I would seek consultation with a good primary care doctor or a cardiologist is you suspect you have any cardiac problems. Both of these doctors will better determine the reason for your shortness of breath.
