My teeth are too short, uneven and I have a gummy smile. What can I do about it? (Photo)

Hi from Belgrade!  Your teeth look fine and nice and straight!  Your problem is your gummy smile. You do not need to Veneer your teeth!  Just have some of that gum taken away and your teeth lengthened slightly and you will be happy!  You will have a nice smile that will show your straight teeth with out looking gummy! I would recommend for a skilled and knowledgeable dentist to provide a facial analysis to first come up with a proper diagnosis so that you understand the root of the problem.  Other than having a hyperactive lip, you may have something called vertical maxillary excess which can be determined by measuring the upper, middle and lower thirds of your face.  If the lower third is greater than the middle third, you can have excessive gum display.  This can be treated by jaw surgery, crown lengthening (gum recontouring), or possibly botox which may not be as effective.  

The great news is that your teeth appear healthy and straight!  As far as the gummy smile, there is a lot of the coronal portion of the tooth covered by your gums right now.  In addition, you are lacking symmetry with the gum heights.  So, with an experienced periodontist, a gingivoplasty (including crown lenghtening) can be done quite easily to eliminate some of the gummy smile and show a more balanced smile with larger looking teeth.

After braces are removed, some gum can be shaved off using a dental laser and your teeth will be longer, the way you want it to be. The next step would be to place porcelain veneers to make teeth even. It will be beautiful!All the best to you! 

It looks like your teeth are short because you have too much gum tissue covering them. I would recommend a consultation with a periodontist to discuss reshaping the gums to expose more of your tooth structure. Then you would need to speak with a dentist about some minor reshaping of your teeth to even them out.
