Dissolving finesterid 1mg tablets in topical minoxidil - Is there any complications in that or any other side effects.

Hi I'm using minoxidil for more than a year, shall I crush the 1mg finesterid tablets and get it dissolved in topical minoxidil for more effective usage. Is there any complications in that or any other side effects. Thanks

If you are trying to create a compound of minoxidil and finasteride, dissolving it is not as reliable as having a compounding pharmacy prepare the mixture. Furthermore, the compound is not as effective as using minoxidil topically and finasteride orally.Jeff Rapaport MD FAADRealself All-star

I don’t really think that it may cause you any trouble or serious side effects but you may want a certified compound stabilized formulation. It will be better to have it at a compound pharmacy.

Crushing finasteride into standard minoxidil solutions does not usually lead to appropriate concentrations of finasteride in the scalp skin. Other vehicles are required when making up these products.
