Little pin holes after CO2 laser treatment done 4 weeks ago, are they permanent?

Hi. I've gone under one procedure of co2 laser treatment a month(4 weeks) ago for post acne scars. And there're little pin holes left on my face. I can tell it's post effect of CO2 laser treatment because of the pattern. Are they permanent and should I continue treatment or not( because I thought my skin might not react, its quite good)

Most Co2 lasers are now "fractional, meaning" not all the skin is treated and, like aerating a lawn, small channels are made in the skin to stimulate collagen rejuvenation. Some lasers make larger holes than others (called spot size), and some lasers tend to "corn row" meaning the holes are in a line as opposed to randomly placed. In my experience, such larger spot sizes when placed in rows increases the risk of these pin holes being visible weeks after the laser. The correction is 1. Wait it out as they usually will subside 2. Use certain serums to help occlude the holes to help the heal 3. communicate with your physician as there is a risk of hyperpigmentation if the holes don't close.Hope this helps.
