The only reason to remove an iris is to eradicate iris cancer. I have come across couple of patients in my clinic asking to change the colour of the eye by removing the iris. This is completely wrong and I am not sure where the idea of iris removal came from....

Your prescription is one that we treat with Lasik routinely. Of course, all other parameters must be satisfactory before Lasik would be recommended.

Yes, this is too high to do lasik.  It would thin your cornea too much.  However there are other surgical alternatives to high myopia that you could explore with a refractive surgeon.  

It is likely that you are a candidate for a "surface " procedure ONLY,  the determining factor being the cornea topography,  which I would be happy to review. PRK is the most common no-flap procedure. LASEK is a slight variation of PRK that only increases the recovery time. 

If you improved temporarily after a no steroidal (diclofenac), you are more than likely suffering from dry eye. My first recommendations are preserved free years, high quality fish oil, and turn off fans at night. You can also consider drops like Restasis or Xiidra and alternative treatments...
