What is the average cc necessary for nasolabial folds or 'smile lines' for moderate folds? I haven't had any Restylane to date, just inquiring on the average amount of cc necessary.
Answer: Restylane syringes required for smile lines Hi Vetham, Normally, patients that are having Restylane injected for the nasolabial folds will require anywhere from 1-3 (1 cc) syringes of the product. Younger patients with relatively mild folds will require one syringe and middle aged to older patients with more dramatic folds will require 2. In some cases where much facial volume has been lost, even 3 syringes are required. Don't take us at our word because it's a small picture, but it looks like you would probably need 2 syringes of Restylane. If you wanted to continue injection of Restylane into the area to either side of the mouth and even below the lip line down into the chin area, you may require 3 syringes for full correction. Good luck.

Answer: How many syringes usually for the NLF? This is a hard question. I would say that if under 30, most only need 1/2 per side. At about 40, 1 syringe per side is normal. After 50, mayber 1.5 syringes per side. Genetics, premature aging from sun exposure, medical disease can all affect the volume needed. I now love to use Defyne and Refyne in the NLFs.

Answer: Amount of Restylane used in the nasolabial folds
Restylane is a very popular and effective hyaluronic acid-base dermal filler. It has been used widely throughout the face for the correction of deep lines and wrinkles. The nasolabial folds were the first area that Restylane was used. This is definitely one of the patients favorites. The amount of Restylane necessary to treat this area depends on the quality of the skin and the depth of the nasolabial fold. Typically, patients receive one syringe per nasolabial fold. If the patient has significantly prominent folds, they may benefit from additional one or two syringes. In our practice, we use nerve blocks so that the patients do not feel anything during the injection of the nasolabial folds. Not only are the patients quite comfortable that they assist us during the injection by letting us know how full they would like their nasolabial fold correction.

Answer: Restylane for nasolabial folds The amount used depends on how deep your nasolabial folds are, and how much correction you are interested in achieving. 1-2 syringes (1.0 mL each) are typical for the nasolabial folds for full correction.
