My initial condition was heavy brows making me feel tired, and that I would often frown when concentrating causing tension headaches, so I asked for a bit of a brow lift. She injected about 20 units along the top of and between my eyebrows. Within a day I could already feel a tightening. It's day 2 now, and my eyebrows feel like they're being pushed downwards (even more) and it's like I have a band over my brow. I'm worried this is going to worsen - is this normal? Will they eventually lift?

Answer: It is common for patients to feel a heaviness to the forehead and frown areas after a Botox treatment.
Botox and Dysport are neurotoxins used to relax muscles /reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Dysport should not be used if the person has a true cow's milk allergy . Dysport is also known to have a quicker onset then Botox but both are known to last about the same length of time.
These
side effects should resolve within the next few weeks. However, there is no
guarantee that you will not have these side effects again next time you have a
treatment with Botox.
A nerve may have been affected during the Botox treatment. The "tugging" may take 2 weeks to fully resolve. If you have further questions schedule a follow up with your injector. Best,
