Laser resurfacing..... Halo vs Fraxel vs other? (photos)

Question

I have large pores and some general uneven texture and dyschromia. I am 41and wear physical sunscreen for many years and stay out of the sun. I am considering resurfacing but every clinic I go to offers a different technology. It's so confusing and I know especially important to be knowledgable about the procedure and the expertise of the person doing it. Halo seems like a good option and I am leaning to that. I would love insight on what to ask, what to expect and anything I might be missing

There are several laser options to consider for large pores. They all vary but I would recommend:1. Fractional lasers over nonfictional2. Nonablative lasers for minimal downtime3. Ablative fractional CO2 lasers to help correct additional problems such as severe wrinkles and dyschromias. 4. A proper skincare consult prior to laser resurfacing5. Good postoperative skincare after laser resurfacing. 6. Consultation with an MD laser specialist in dermatology, plastic surgery, or facial plastic surgery.

possible about your options and asking about the training of the person
actually performing the procedure. Halo sounds like an excellent option for

Hello 5203anon,Thank you for your question and photo. In our our office we offer Smart Skin CO2 Laser made by Cynosure. This laser has been the most effective for our patients being that it can take about 10 years off of sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles. It also re-textures the skin and minimizes pore size. This laser can be tailored to your amount of downtime as well. In my practice we advise patients to pre-treat their skin with a few products being that the results and recovery have been more effective in using Retin-A and Hydroquinone prior to the laser.
