45 year old mom-of-3, reticular breast vein recommendations? (Photos)

Hello! Thank you for your time. I am a 45 year old mom of 3 with no underlying health conditions. After breastfeeding three kids, I developed more visible/prominent veins across my chest/breasts. My youngest is now 4 and these blue veins are still hanging around. I would love to have them treated but am not sure of the best treatment option and or what type of professional to reach out to about them. Thank you again for any insight.

Sclerotherapy (injections) into those blood vessels could be perfect for you. Wearing compression dressing after the procedure (+ proper technique with foam sclerotherapy) is key to success. Treatment of chest veins occasionally requires more treatments than treating leg veins with sclerotherapy mainly because it’s more difficult to adequately compress the veins on the chest than those on the legs following treatment. But, it can be done!

Based upon your pictures, you appear to have developed prominent superficial breast veins that may become noticeably worse during pregnancies and/or lactation. If you are past the breast feeding phase, these veins can often be treated with a simple injection of a sclerosing agent such as sotradecol or polidocanol. The treatment itself may involve the injection of liquid or foam, as determined by your treating physician. These procedures are typically performed by vein specialists with particular experience treating prominent veins in various body areas such as breasts, face, hands, etc.Of course with any abnormalities of the breast, a thorough evaluation of the breasts by your gynecologist or PCP to exclude any serious medical conditions is advised prior to proceeding with cosmetic treatments.

Breast veins can usually easily be treated with foam or liquid sclerotherapy, depending on their size.  Treatment takes less than 20 minutes and is very safe.
