is it weird to have attachments on the front and back of the same tooth?

Congratulations on getting started with your Invisalign treatment!  It is understandable that it may be difficult to remove your aligners with so many attachments on.  With any type of Invisalign treatment, your plan is designed by the doctor that you have chosen.  The doctor has decided that attachments would be better on the front and on the back of the teeth.  Generally, this is to achieve a better grip on those teeth so that they can achieve more difficult movements.On occasion, there are features that look like attachment wells on the inside of the front teeth called bite ramps that may be planned.  These bite ramps should not be filled, but it is something that may happen from time to time.It is best to speak to your doctor to discuss your treatment if you have any concerns, but remember that it will get easier to take the aligners on and off over time.  Good luck!

Thank you for posting your question.  Attachments are added to teeth to help direct forces for a certain desired  movement.  They can also be added to prevent teeth from making contact when you close.  You can ask your dentist what he is trying to acheive with the attachments.  Your dentist has made the treatment plan so he is the only one that knows why he has added the attachements for your case.  Hope this helps.  Good Luck!
