I have an unfinished root canal that they put cotton swabs in while we wait to finish and put the crown on. What do I do?

I have been getting food on the cotton swab and I was wondering if it was ok for me to brush without causing problems or if the cotton falls of what do i do??

Hi:Contact your dentist and let him/her know about the white gum.  If the silver cap is a temporary crown it might be exerting too much pressure on the gums.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Hello Exploit501, It's not that uncommon for a tooth which recently had a root canal, esp if there was an infection, to be a little loose temporarily.  It's important that you're not biting "high" or contacting this tooth before your others.  This can delay the looseness and not allow...
