I have about 10 gaps in my upper and lower teeth and I would like to know what would be the quickest and most affordable way to improve my smile. I hate talking to people close up and I hardly smile, do you think bonding would be a great idea? Or would you suggest something different?

DO NOT REMOVE TEETH. I have to agree with the first response. Expanding your arch, moving teeth orthodontically (Invisalign or traditional) then minimally doing veneers, peg laterals or all four incisors would give you a fantastic look.
Look through the "Bonding" category and see how many complaints there are. That is why we practically always do bonded porcelain. Wont chip or stain in most cases and will outlast bonding.
Yes you can, unfortunately you cant do that with bonding, because they will not last for you. The only solution could be porcelain veneers. The bonding will fall sooner or later and with porcelain veneers you can find a solution and also design your smile. It takes only 2 visits, I hope this helps.
