What calf reduction method is most effective? (Photo)

Hi there, I have a consultation appointment with Dr. Perry Liu from Beverly Hills Calf Reduction Center next Tuesday. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about selective neurectomy for calves, radiofrequency calf reduction or partial calf resection. I have very large calf muscles and I've been extremely insecure about my legs ever since I was a kid. I'm pretty skinny and I feel like my calf muscles make my body look oddly disproportionate. My right calf is 39 cm, my left is 38 cm.

In the proper hands of a skilled board certified plastic surgeon, liposuction is usually effective in improving your "cankles" and calves. An exam would be required for the best opinion.

There are many types of liposuction, all that matters is that the surgeon is experienced and does this routinely and has great technique, understands your goals, and picks the type of liposuction that is best for your case.  It is not the type that gives the best result, it is the physician...

I suggest seeking an evaluation for lipolymphedema or lipedema or vascular insufficiency.  I do not think this is from the liposuction, rather, we see patients edema improve after leg, calf and ankle lipo.  For now compression, exercise, and leg elevation at night should help....
