The dissolvable PDO threads that are available for use in the United States continue to improve. For the past 6 months I have using the Mint Fine PDO suspensory threads in my practice for thread lifting. In my opinion, they significantly outperform the threads from the previous three companies that I used.

The rates of complications is much lower, effectiveness is better, and PDO threads allow us to lift and elevate facial tissues without the risk and downtime associated with surgery. Maintenance is required periodically, just like with facial fillers, and the results are quite good.

Hi Simone, PDO threads are excellent for patients like yourself. Thanks for posting your pictures. Your jowl area isn’t too heavy, meaning the jaw line is well defined. Yet you have some mid face volume loss. Threads would lift the area back to where it belongs. You have to redo them about every  1 1/2 years. We use Pro Nox nitrous Oxide to make patients comfortable and relaxed for the procedure. When I had them done to me, I was a bit sore for a few days. Tylenol worked fine for that.
