I believe my tooth is starting to rot under the crown, anytime I chew on that side, I get a horrible taste in my mouth. I've had the crown for about 7-8 years. I'm 20 now.

Hi:Dry Socket is due to infection in the extraction site, it has nothing to do with left over cement. Cement usually causes inflamation, once removed it should heal and go back to normal.Best,Dr. Maddahi.
