My mom had surgery for a Basal Cell Carcinoma growth on her nose however after the surgery the doctor told my mom that some of the root was left in. The doctor said that there is no need for further surgery to remove the small part of the root that was left in and my mom should adopt an attitude of "wait and see". Is this correct? Or should she insist that the doctor reopen the cut and remove the part of the root that was left in?
