I suggest starting sculptra injections and/or other fillers. IF you are fit you will always have a thinner face and fillers can help to fill this out without having to compromise your body / health. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for sharing your question. Based on the photo you have provided you appear to be an excellent candidate for dermal fillers and, potentially, fat grafting. I recommend trying a dermal filler first such as Restylane Lyft, Juvederm Voluma or even Radiesse to add volume to your midface. If you are happy with the results, you may want to consider the more permanent option of fat grafting. Fat grafting is a procedure that involves harvesting fat from a donor site such as the abdomen or inner thighs, purifying the fat cells, and then injecting the fat into the desired location on the face. Approximately 50% of the fat injected remains permanently. However, I strongly recommend starting with dermal fillers and considering fat transfer at a later date. Best of luck.
Facial fillers might be the best way to start. Fat transfer is another consideration as well as submalar implants.
I suggest consulting with your physician to discuss your concerns. It is unlikely that the metal plate could be displaced during boxing activity but you should speak to your physician. Best, Dr. Emer
Fillers, fat grafting and implants can all provide visual improvement and increase in volume, definition and projection of the cheekbones. Every patient has a different anatomy with different needs and desires. So it is best to consult a board certified facial plastic surgeon in person and disc...
Fillers, implants and fat can all be used to sculpt the face. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, Perlane work great for cheek volumization which helps improve the nasolabial (smile lines) as well indirectly. Long term my patients also get Sculptra injections to help stimulate collagen and make the ...
Hi, I have performed facial shaping and contouring procedures using dermal fillers or facial implants (cheek, chin) for over 30 years. From the photos your cheeks are flat anteriorly (in the front), there is excess fat in front and below the cheeks and the chin is weak. These factors combine to...
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures over the past 30 years. While non smiling photos from the front and side are best for evaluating the cheeks and face, the bunching that you describe is caused by excess fat in front and below the cheeks. Smiling pulls this fat up and on to the...
