Would MI paste scratch the plastic of Invisalign aligner/retainer?

MI paste looks promising as a means to re-mineralize the teeth. It contains , among other things, silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide. From what I gather, it is generally not advised to use an abrasive toothpaste to clean the invisalign tray, as it will scratch the plastic surface and hence promote bacterial growth. Some told me that it is a good way to apply MI paste like this: apply the MI paste on the teeth, and then put the invisalign tray / retainer back on. Would this scratch the tray / retainer?

First of all, I would not advise using anything abrasive that is not ADA approved on teeth.  Titanium dioxide is actually used in paint pigment, and I would make sure this is not some kind of unapproved method of trying to make teeth whiter by plugging open pores and tubules with the white titanium dioxide material. I would not use anything abrasive on plastic aligners, retainers or other plastic appliances because the microscopic scratches will cause plaque to adhere to the surface of these items.
