Should I apply Glyco 6 all over my face? I have pigmentation on my forehead.

I've had it since several years and brown acne spots on my cheeks.I have started using glyco 6 cream with 6% glycolic acid since the last two days.Am I supposed to apply it all over my face or just the pigmented areas?
