Can Invisalign Attachments be removed half way of treatment?

Congratulations on getting started with your treatment.  Attachments can be a psychological barrier for many patients to start off with.  They are often much more noticeable to the person who has them than to the general public.  In fact, most of our patients tell us that the only other people that notice are others who are wearing/have worn Invisalign, or Invisalign providers.That being said, if planned properly by an experienced doctor, only those attachments required should be placed on the teeth for your treatment.  They can be removed at any time, but the intended movements may not happen and the trays have been prefabricated with an accommodation for the attachments.  The only consideration is to remove the attachments once they are not required and take a new scan of the teeth.  This will, however, delay the treatment and may reduce the fit of the trays.Hope that helps!
