Can you get 2 veneers and then 2 later on?

I keep asking so many questions but I'm possibly making a huge decision and want to weigh all of my options! Is it playable to get two porcelain veneers on your front two teeth and then two more on the ones on either side of them when I have more money? I have almost enough for two but not four, but I eventually do want 4. And would you guys recommend composite veneers or no? Thank you.

Hello Gigi,
Your questions is asked my many patients. The answer is yes you can, but it’s better to make them from the same batch. Porcelain is hand  mixed and dries out once done with your two veneers. The dried porcelain will be discarded. The two new veneers later will have to be matched again to the first set.
That’s tricky. My advise is if you want 4 veneers, do them at the same time. They will looks great when done by a great dentist,  you will never look back again because you made the right choice.

yes, that is possible but  best option is to go for all veneers at the same time, that will  give perfect aesthetic result. there r chances of shade difference in two stages. if money is issue  for u then dental tourism india is good option for you.  u will save upto 70% on total treatment costing.

It is possible but you run the chance of not having a perfect match. Better to have the same lab technician use the same batch of porcelain in the same atmospheric conditions make all 4 at the same time and the dentist use the same batch of cement.Just like you may order the same brand and color of carpet for your home, dye lots from different dates of production can vary in their appearance.

You can certainly get two veneers now and two later on.  The only reason you might not want to do this is if you want to whiten your teeth significantly. Doing only your two front teeth and making them significantly whiter would make them look like headlights until you did the other teeth. If you are going to either bleach your teeth first and then match the color or  if you do not want to change the color of your teeth, then there is no reason why you cannot do two now and two later.

Hi gigiandcami, The short answer to your question is that you can get two veneers now and two later. However if you were to get all four at once, the dentist and technician who make them would be better able to match the shade and proportional widths. You would get a slightly better result. But a good dentist and technician team should be able to match the aesthetics if done two at a time. If you choose to do it that way, I would suggest discussing it first with your dentist as he may want to modify how he shapes the first two teeth in anticipation of the two in the future. Dr. Neal

While you CAN do as you suggest, the shade of the teeth may not match when done.  A great cosmetic lab will create a variation in color (slightly darker near the gums, slight translucent at the tip, etc).  Despite great photography, getting a "perfect match" may not be possible if done 2 at a time.  Have you considered dental financing?  This allows you to get what you want NOW and pay it off over time (a length of your choosing; 6 months, 60 months....).  All at the same time is best.  8-10 instead of 4 is best as well.
