I also have arthritis, high cholesterol, chronic back and knee pain and a pacemaker for sick sunus syndrome. I do not have a defibrillator. I had it replaced in 12/16 without problems. I have had surgeries with it without complications. I know I will have to pay out of pocket. what is the average cost?

Answer: Cost of Sleeve, BMI 33 Yes, it idefinitely possible to get a sleeve gastrectomy. The cost in the US ranges from about $11,000 to $25,000 or more. Just make sure when considering cost that you do not sacrifice quality of the program and that you consider all the included (or not included) variables. Some of those factors that may or may not be included in the price include cost of other providers (anesthesia, pathology or others), preop testing and postop care. A big one to consider is complication insurance, as your own insurance will likely not pay for anything that happens as a result of this surgery, since you paid for it yourself. This may not be offered or may be something that is optional. At our program we see many folks in this situation and offer optional complication insurance.
