Best skin care before and after BBL?

Question

I recently visited a Derm and have decided to have BBL for my flushing and redness on my cheeks and chin. I bought Revisions anti-redness to use for the next 8 weeks prior to my first appt. I am overwhelmed with the skin care products that claim to help reduce the redness and sensitivity. My skin often burns, stings is dry and I flush. Is Revisions anti redness kit with Vit K serum right for me. If not, what products do you recommend to patients with Rosacea pre and post procedure?

Thank you for your question about skin care pre/post broad band light treatments.  We do not recommend any anti redness pre or post treatment for our BBL/IPL patients.  We recommend that our patients purchase the Avene post procedure kit: Cicalfate Restorative Cream, Sunscreen, Thermal Spring water and Thermal Spring gel.  If we are using BBL to treat browns we will recommend patients use Hydroquinone, Lytera 2.0, or our Koji pads.  These three products work in different ways to suspend Malanin production.  I do not believe this would be beneficial for anti redness.  However, the Koji pads with Arbutase will help brighten your overall appearance.  
To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
