There is no contraindication to the use of Botox in a patient with trigeminal neuralgia. Botox may or may not improve your pain but certainly should not make it worse.
Thank you for your question. Using Botox in your situation is very safe. If anything it may improve your symptoms by relaxing the muscles. It should not cause any worsening of your trigeminal neuralgia symptoms.
Shouldn't be a problem. By brow lift, I am assuming you are talking about using Botox not surgery? Book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area (link below). Best, Dr. Nazarian
Thanks for sharing your question. I canappreciate your concern.Trigeminal neuralgia is the consequence of piercing musclesaround the face on branches of the trigeminal cranial nerve. ( a sensory nerveof the face). Botox which paralyzes the muscles, have being approved for theuse of migraine headaches for this main reason. Depending on the location of your neuralgia, botox shouldhelp with the symptoms. On the same token, surgery in this area will stretch yournerves, creating a temporary numbness to the nerves. You may experiencepotential improvement to the areas where the surgery is performed. Make sure to have an evaluation by a board certified plasticsurgeon who has experience in facial cosmetic surgery and migraine surgery.Best wishes
Theoretically there shouldn't be a link; however, you don't know the trigger for your neuralgia and I would strongly recommend you avoid all elective facial procedures, especially cosmetic as it may trigger the neuralgia.
It depends on whether on not you have trigger points. If you do have trigger points and they are in the forehead, then brow lift could exacerbate the problem. If not, then Botox and brow lift should not pose a problem. Best of luck.Dr Mueller
You should have no difficulty getting Botox for your 11s in regards to your neuralgia.i am not sure what type of brow lift you are talking about but discuss it with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon
Botox will start to take effect in 3-5 days and will take approximately 7-10 days before seeing the full effect. Botox helps soften wrinkles, lines and lasts about 3-4 months. This should be done in the hands of a Board Certified Plastic surgeon or Dermatologist with significant Expertise in...
Botox in the glabella area should have no effect on your cataract surgery. Botox is being injected into the glabella area and the surgery is inside the eye. Best, Dr. Green
Botox carefully placed around the Crow's feet works nicely in reducing the lines around the eyes. However, Botox injected under the lash line can cause this droop. Do not inject Botox in this area in the future. It will wear off over the next weeks. Best, Dr. Green
