Usually two treatment are advised per area. One might not be sufficient to treat your condition.
We generally recommend two treatments at six-week intervals which pleases most patients. Selection is important, as slimmer patients will do better. If further treatments are desired, there is no contra-indication to having two more. A six-week interval is recommended between treatments.
Thank you for your question. Many doctors recommend 4-6 SculpSure treatments in an area as the suggested maximum amount. Please keep in mind that the number of SculpSure treatment you receive will be commensurate with your desired results and your improvement during the treatments. Most patients find the results they require within 3 treatments. 6-12 weeks is the typical timeframe for which most patients heal from and experience results with SculpSure. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
Each person is different, so in a SculpSure treatment session, the number of applicators needed to treat an area can vary. In addition, the number of treatment sessions needed to obtain the desired results can vary. There is no limit to the number of applicators that can be used or the number of treatment sessions that can be done. I find most people need somewhere in the range of 1-3 treatment sessions.
Thank you for your question.Sculpsure is a noninvasive 1060nm diode laser treatment that removes up to 25% of stubborn fat in the treated area in 25 minutes. It is FDA approved for the abdomen and flanks. It is safe if you get pregnant in the future. The body contouring effects are seen in as quick as six weeks with final results at 12 weeks. The results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and health. The laser targets and destroys the fat cells only which are then naturally removed from the body. Since the laser does not affect the skin or muscle it can be used on all skin colors and there has been no reported incidents of burns when treated by a properly trained physician. It is protective since it alternates heating and cooling. It has four applicators that can be customized to treat the areas of stubborn fat. If a second treatment is needed we wait at least six weeks and usually closer to 12. If you notice lumps after (which I've never seen) I would recommend massage. You should also alert your surgeon. No compression garment required. There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities right after the treatment. There may be some soreness in the area for a few days for which you can take ibuprofen or tylenol. A cold compress can also be used. Sculpsure is not used for skin tightening however some of our patients have seen this. If more skin tightening is needed we have combined this with thermi or Ulthera for a complete treatment. Sculpsure is recommended for stubborn areas of fat that are not being lost by diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss treatment Since I have both a coolsculpting and sculpsure I am working on protocols of utilizing both of these depending upon what areas need to be treated and the response to the treatment. I have used sculpsure on other areas other than the abdomen with very good results. I also use a Vectra 3D imaging system to try and show people what their treatment areas could look like. Since Sculpsure outcomes can be based on technique and experience, please see a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes body contouring to see if Sculpsure or other treatments are available to meet your goals. Take care, Dr. Schwartz Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Sculpsure recommends at least 2 treaments per area 4-6 weeks apart. However, you many need more to meet your goals.
Most patients require 1-2 treatments per area with Sculpsure in order to achieve their desired outcome. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your SculpSure question! Our patients will have a complimentary consultation with our board certified plastic surgeons to discuss their areas of concern or their trouble spots. A patient may require only 1-2 treatments to an area for good results, but depending on the amount of excess fat, one or two additional treatments may be recommended for optimal results.
Thank you for your question. Most SculpSure patients need between 1-2 treatments of SculpSure. The number of treatments depends on your body type, BMI and the results you want to achieve. For more information, I recommend getting a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.
There is no defined limit to how many SculpSure treatments a patient can have on a given area of the body. In my experience, patients will typically notice results after their first treatment, but every patient is different and some require multiple treatment sessions to achieve their aesthetic goal. Sculpture treatments are extremely safe, so there is really no downside to undergoing multiple treatments if that is the patient’s wish. There will be volume reduction proportionately on each treatment.
Sculpsure is not a weight loss treatment. It is a body contouring treatment. I always advise my patients to be at a maintainable goal weight before considering any kind of cosmetic procedure including Sculpsure. Hope this helps.
Just because you aren't experiencing any pain and swelling following your SculpSure treatment does not mean that it wasn't effective. I would simply say that you are lucky. You should see your visible results in 3-6 weeks.
I do not think that your current illness is related to your SculpSure treatment. My guess is that you've gotten a cold or the flu and it is simply a case of bad timing. However, if your symptoms don't improve, see your doctor. Best of luck.
