What can I do to get rid of this black line across my nose? (Photos)

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. It's possible that the black line is caused by thin skin where you have a very strong bump on your nose.  Sharp bone or an edge under the skin could be changing the skin color.Or, if you had an injury where you hit the pavement or asphalt and had a scrape or cut you may have what we call a traumatic tattoo. This is where dirt or other things are under the skin causing a discoloration.  That may require excision though sometimes a tattoo removing laser can work.In summary - you need an appointment with a good facial plastic surgeon.

Thank you for providing a picture!  That is so helpful!  I am not sure that a cream alone will correct that pigmentation.  At Laura A. Katz MD PC we would suggest either a Yag platform photofacial to correct that pigmentation or perhaps a morpheus microneedling treatment.  The Yag laser will help remove any hyperpigmentation.  The morpheus could do the same plus maybe do a better job of collagen remodeling and contract the skin to smooth that area out more.
