Hi there, I'm a 22yo female who is deeply dissatisfied with the lack of structure in my face. I feel like the width of my jaw and length of my chin takes away from my eyes, chin and lips. I would like to have a more striking appearance and deeply feel that the length of my chin and fullness of my lower cheeks/jaw is not allowing my features to shine.. Would V-Line surgery be too invasive or could it be a good option for me?

Based on your concerns, I recommend treatments with masseter Botox. Masseter Botox is a cosmetic procedure aimed at slimming and contouring the lower face by targeting the masseter muscles. By injecting botulinum toxin (Botox) into the masseter muscles—the large muscles on the jawline responsible for chewing—this procedure reduces their size and prominence over time. Masseter Botox can create a more slender and V-shaped appearance to the face by reducing the width of the lower jawline and softening the square jawline. Apart from cosmetic benefits, Botox injections in the masseter muscles can also alleviate symptoms of jaw clenching (bruxism) and teeth grinding (nocturnal bruxism), which may contribute to muscle hypertrophy. The procedure involves a series of small injections directly into the masseter muscles, with minimal discomfort and downtime. While results may begin to be noticeable within a few weeks, optimal slimming effects typically develop over several weeks as the muscles gradually relax and reduce in size. Without in person evaluation it would be difficult to give you a meaningful advice. A combination of liposuction of jawline and reduction of lower face width  with Botox injection into masseter muscles are some of the options to consider. Good luck.

I do a lot of v-line surgery and it is usually quite helpful for concerns such as you express. Sometimes there is a large component from the masseter muscles (jaw muscles on the sides of the face). If that is the case we can do botulinum (e.g. botox) to the masseter muscles which also helps taper the jawline.
