Accutane for BlackHeads & WhiteHeads?

I was on accutane (trevissage) last year and it helps a lot to get rid of my comedones but after 8 months of finish the treatment the blackheads are coming back again. They are all over my nose, lip line, and forehead. so im thinkig in trying again accutane cause I was using retin a 0.5 every night about 3 months and I dont not see any results . I also squeeze every morning my nose and at the end of the day they reappear. so im frustrated. what else can i do?? I also quit alcohol, smoking.

Accutane works best when given at a dose of 1mg/kg per day for at least 20 weeks. Tour total dose for the duration of your treatment should be at least 8400 mg.  if you stay at 40 mg per day you will need to stay on the medication for at least 30 weeks.  If you tolerate 60 mg per day...

Thank you for your question. Being that this is your last month of Accutane it may not be beneficial to increase the dosage since you are at the end of your treatment course (discuss with dermatologist). There is a goal dosage that should be met based on your weight to ensure proper treatment...

You will definitely see results on 40mg/day, most likely by the end of the first month or so. However, those results might not last on a long term basis if the course of the low dose treatment isn't long enough.  Therefore it is not whether the 40mg/day will help but if it will be...
