I accidentally didnt follow directions and peeled skin off most my face on day 3 and now red spots are worse, is it permanent?

I'm on day 4 of the vi peel and my skin looks horrible. I'm afraid it's my fault...b/c I helped peel sheets off most of my face yesterday morning (day 3). Will the red spots subside or will they be permanent b/c of my not following directions?

Take good care of your skin at this point and avoid direct sun exposure. I would begin application of Melarase creams twice daily to help reduce the chance of skin discoloration. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles, CA

Thanks for your question. Without a photo is it hard to say. I would recommend contacting the office where you had your peel and letting them know that you peeled your skin off prematurely and have them help you with post care. Try applying a thin layer a aquafor in the meantime to protect you raw skin. More than likely you will end up peeling again. It sounds like you knew it was a no no so if you peel again make sure to let your skin peel at its own pace and don't force it. Best wishes.
