Your photos and description are consistent with Traction Alopecia-hair loss from hair pulling(from braids).Assuming there is no other cause for your hair loss hair transplants are an excellent treatment.I would suggest scheduling an appointment with an experienced Hair Restoration surgeon to determine what is best for you.

Traction Alopecia is the name of this type of hair loss. Unfortunately continuous braiding of the hair slowly pulls the hair follicle literally all the way out of the scalp over a long period of time. Additionally, this hair will not return and will require a hair transplant. However, this can be completely corrected! I would advise you not to braid your hair any longer and especially after a hair transplant if you elect to go that route.

You are correct that you might not be able to grow back your hair However treatments can help prevent it from getting worse - and having more hair loss. Once your hair loss has been stabilized, you can also have a hair transplant.

loss of hair could have many differents causes. Above all for the women meanwhile for men is 95% alopecia androgenica. In your case I would check some blood parameters to see if it is a genetic factor (in your family) or could be related to some for istance ormones disease.
