How much does alarplasty cost? Does it cost less than a rhinoplasty procedure?

I would charge about $1500 US dollars for only alar plasty, to be more precise alar wedge excisions.

You should not look for bargains when it comes to alar plasty. If you end up having uneven nostrils or too narrow nostrils, the damage can be IRREVERSIBLE. So, please concentrate on finding someone who can do an excellent, safe and conservative alarplasty for you.

An alarplasty costs is probably in the $2,000 to $3,000 range depending upon whether it is done under general anesthesia. This is typically much less than the full rhinoplasty procedure since it is just an alar base reduction.

An alarplasty would be less then a normal rhinoplasty.  The cost would be around $2,000-$3,000 depending on what's involved to accomplish your aesthetic goals.  Check out some before and after photos and visit several surgeons before making a final decision.  Good luck!

Alarplasty or alea base reduction is a procedure to reduce the flare or width of the base of the nose.  This is usually done as  part of a rhinoplasty or staged as a secondary procedure.  The fees vary in different parts of the country.

The cost of rhinoplasty comprises of the surgeon's fee, the facility fee and the anesthesiologists fee. Realself has a nice tab breaking prices by location. Best of luck. Dr. Michael Omidi

Alarplasty is a fast procedure with lesser cost than Rhinoplasty

Alarplasty takes much less time than a formal open rhinoplasty procedure. Therefore, the cost is typically less. However, alarplasty is typically not performed in isolation.  Once you change 2 legs of the tripod, more work may be necessary.

There are several types of alarplasty for the nose to decrease or change the nostril size or shape. To do it alone is possible, but more likely you would want something done to the tip of your nose as well. And that might require some changes to the upper part of your nose as well. So a specific fee could not be stated without seeing what you wanted to have done to your nose.

All you can do is call multiple doctors in your country and area and get a range of prices.  There is no standardized price for this or any other cosmetic surgery.

Alarplasty as an isolated procedure  would cost $2000-$2500. However, it is unusual that alar alteration is the only thing done in a rhinoplasty  operation. Remember changing the nasal base will also change the appearance of the rest of the nose.

Yes this does generally costs less than a rhinoplasty but it is rare that this will achieve your goals. The costs vary but will likely range from $1500-3000.
