After 2 consultations i have booked my surgery, we have decided on 500cc high profile round silicone implants. i am 5'9 160 lbs and 13.5cm across my breast base. i will be having a breast lift at the same time as augmentation. I am currently a 36 or 34 B and I am hoping to have a DD after. Will 500 cc bring me to a DD in size? my PS said i cannot go any bigger than 500cc because of the breast lift. What size do you estimate my breast to be afterwards?
Answer: Determining size after augmentation and lift Thank you for your picture. I agree that a lift is necessary a 500 mL gel implant is appropriate. I agree that a larger implant place will make it difficult to perform a lift. After surgery is hard to determine what cup size you will be. There's no way to predict that going in or to tell that afterwards until you're completely healed and you are remeasured. Therefore focus less on the cup size and more on the desired and actual results. Good luck

Answer: Breast Augmentation with Mini Ultimate Breast Lift(TM) At size 34 each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change.500 cc implants will take you to a size G, weigh over 1 lb each, will extrude inferiorly and laterally requiring revision.I recommend a new technique called Breast Augmentation with Mini Ultimate Breast LiftTM.Using only a circumareola incision it is possible to reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.Through the same incision, implants can be placed.Aligning the areola, breast tissue and implant over the bony prominence of the chest wall maximizes anterior projection with a minimal size implant.Small round textured silicone gel implants placed retro-pectoral look and feel more natural, are more stable, less likely to ripple or have complications needing revision.Implant profile is irrelevant in the retro-pectoral position since the muscle compresses it.300 cc implants would take you to a DD.However, you are asymmetrical in shape, position and volume. The lift is just as important as the implant.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: 500 cc breasts implants with a lift Dear Mariie, Thanks for submitting your picture. From the picture it appears that you have a small A cup with grade 2 ptosis on the right side and A cup with grade 2 to 3 on the left side. If indeed your chest circumference is 34 inches, 500 cc implants will bring you to a 34 D + . If you are 36 inches you'll become a 36 small D. As far as the lift, as long as it is a mini lift ( donut, circum areola ) , you should heal without a problem. Any other lift technique , will be better off with small implants, so that there will be less compromise of the circulation due to excess pressure on the skin flaps and the nipples. Always, consult only, with board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center. Check their before and after pictures to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and you like them. Also, check the reviews for positive patients experience Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: Lift and implant Sounds like you have a good surgical plan, I rarely use 500cc implants but I am sure your doc has spoken to you at length about the consequences of heavy weighted implants on soft tissues of the breast

Answer: Breast Implant Size for Breast Augmentation/Lifting? Thank you for the question and pictures. Based on your photographs, you are starting at a great point and should have a very nice outcome with breast augmentation/lifting surgery. Ultimately, careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be an important part of the preoperative and intraoperative planning process. In my practice, I will often use an intraoperative tailor tacking technique to individualize the breast augmentation/lift to the patient's specific situation/anatomy and goals. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation/lifting surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you're looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining which operation and/or breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "DD cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. The use of in bra sizers and computer imaging may be very helpful during this communication phase. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery. I find that the use of temporary intraoperative sizers ( with the patient in the upright position) allows for accurate selection of breast implant size/profile to achieve patient's goals as precisely as possible. I hope this, and the attached link, helps.
