OK if my lip got stuck tonmy braces it isn’t stuck now but it swelled up && its like a knot in my lip && its very swollen how do i get rid of it or is it permanent

It is very difficult to tell what is the best treatment based off of a single photo. Here are some observations based off of the one photo and your history:Your upper dental arch is underdeveloped (see gummy smile). Your upper front teeth have already been overly retracted (bicuspid extractions)...

Hi I would advise always to try to keep your teeth and straigten using braces first. However it is a much longer process. An extraction of the misplaced tooth and a dental implant would work as well but we do advise a thorough assessment to decide on which is best way forwards

This question actually comes up quite often with our adult patients that had a history with orthodontic treatment.  It is always a good idea to check your dental insurance if there is any orthodontic coverage. You can do this yourself or call your dentist's office to have them check...
