WLS after Lapband and extensive scar tissue, is it possible? (Photos)

The answer to your question is yes, you can have either Sleeve or Gastric Bypass after your Erroded band was removed... The problem is that definitely there is more chance of complication, i.e. Leak, due to scar tissue and problem with healing in that setting.
The controversy is around the time periods that you should wait to make it safer.
In my practice I recommend the "Gastric Bypass" after removal of erroded band, as it is safer and easier to fix your leak, if that happens.
Regardless I recommend at least 3 months wait to give time for errroded part to heal, and for scar tissue to at least partially resolve.

Hello.Thanks for your time and question.Actually it is posible to have the Gastric Bypass done after the scarring issue the only is that you must wait 2 years after to have it done, that is the time frame we recommend patiences to wait to have the surgery done.While you wait my recommendations for you are to start eating healthy, drink lots of water everyday do exercises and also walk 45 mins a day.I would recommend you to visit a certified bariatric surgeon
