As a child I underwent the orthodontic treatment at that age doctor extracted 2 teeth from upper & 2 teeth from lower but some how my treatment result was not good, later at this age when I thought of undergoing treatment again I was brought to notice by new doctor that previous doctor made the mistake by extracting lower 2 teeth & which has resulted in overjet & surgery is the only way out to correct overjet with 12mm to 15mm...so pls let me know anyother way out other than surgery at this age.

You can try to keep the area clean and do nothing until you see the dentist as soon as possible. You can also try a temporary cement that you can find at the pharmacy or even grocery store. There are two that come to mind...one is Denttemp crown cement and the other is Polygrip.
